The BSc Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) program is a multidisciplinary program designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to address critical issues related to water resources, sanitation systems, and hygiene practices. The program emphasizes the interconnectedness of these three elements and their impact on public health, environmental sustainability, and socio-economic development. Students will learn about water resource management, water and wastewater treatment technologies, sanitation infrastructure design and implementation, hygiene promotion strategies, and the policy and regulatory frameworks governing WASH services. The curriculum integrates theoretical concepts with practical applications through laboratory work, field studies, and community-based projects. The program prepares graduates to become competent WASH professionals who can contribute to achieving sustainable and equitable access to water and sanitation services in Ghana and beyond.
