The BSc Project Planning and Community Development programme is a multidisciplinary course designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate community development projects effectively. It integrates principles from social sciences, management, and planning to address the complex challenges facing communities in Ghana and beyond. Students will learn about community engagement, project management methodologies, sustainable development practices, and the socio-economic factors that influence community well-being. The programme emphasizes participatory approaches, ethical considerations, and the importance of working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to achieve positive and lasting change. Students will also gain a strong understanding of development policy and the role of various actors, including government, NGOs, and international organizations, in promoting community development.
