The BSc Fisheries Economics and Management programme is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to understand and manage fisheries resources sustainably, considering both ecological and economic factors. This interdisciplinary programme integrates principles of fisheries science, economics, and management to address the complex challenges facing the fisheries sector in Ghana and globally. Students will learn about fish biology, population dynamics, fishing technologies, fisheries policy, resource economics, and management strategies. They will also develop analytical and problem-solving skills to assess fisheries resources, evaluate management options, and promote sustainable fisheries practices.
