The BSc Community Mental Health Nursing programme is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to provide comprehensive mental health care within community settings in Ghana. The programme focuses on promoting mental well-being, preventing mental disorders, and providing care and support to individuals, families, and communities affected by mental health issues. Students will learn about the biological, psychological, social, and cultural factors that influence mental health, as well as evidence-based interventions and strategies for addressing a wide range of mental health conditions. A key aspect of the program is community engagement and understanding the social determinants of mental health within the Ghanaian context.
