The BSc Biochemistry and Biotechnology program is an interdisciplinary field that combines the study of chemical processes within living organisms (biochemistry) with the manipulation of biological systems for practical applications (biotechnology). Students will gain a deep understanding of the molecular basis of life, including the structure and function of biomolecules (proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, and nucleic acids), metabolic pathways, and gene expression. They will also learn about the principles and techniques of biotechnology, such as genetic engineering, cell culture, enzyme technology, and bioprocessing. This program equips students with the knowledge and skills to contribute to advances in medicine, agriculture, environmental science, and industry.
