The Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education) programme is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to become effective and nurturing educators of young children (birth to eight years). The programme focuses on child development theories, developmentally appropriate practices, curriculum design and implementation, assessment strategies, and inclusive education. Students will explore various pedagogical approaches, learn to create stimulating learning environments, and understand the importance of family and community involvement in early childhood education. The programme also emphasizes the socio-cultural context of childhood in Ghana and globally, preparing graduates to be culturally responsive educators. It also includes a significant practical component, with opportunities for teaching practice in diverse early childhood settings.
